How do I update my address with USCIS if I haven’t received my receipt numbers?

Applicants cannot officially update their address with USCIS until receipt notices are received (typically about 3-6 weeks after an application is submitted). In the meantime, setting up mail forwarding is a good idea, but there is still a chance one may miss a notice from USCIS. Fortunately, receipt numbers are sent as text messages as well as physical notices. As soon as the receipt numbers are received, applicants can update their address with USCIS here: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

Applicants can also call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 to change their address with USCIS.

If any physical notices do not arrive, applicants can request them to be re-sent here.
