Emily May-Lee Martinez is Managing Immigration Counsel at Boundless, where she supports employment-based Adjustment of Status applications and works closely with clients and their families to help them reach the final stage of their immigration journey. She brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to each case, ensuring long-term career progress is matched with successful legal outcomes. Emily also contributes to internal legal operations by improving processes that increase efficiency and consistency across the team.

Biography
Emily has over fifteen years of immigration experience, spanning employment-based and family-based immigration, removal defense, and appellate work. She has handled a wide range of matters, including Adjustment of Status, marriage-based petitions, naturalization, Cancellation of Removal, waivers, U-Visas, SIJS petitions, and appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals. Her background includes roles at boutique law firms, service as an Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Navy JAG, and work as an adjunct legal professor.

She is especially passionate about the human side of immigration law and enjoys examining each client’s unique situation to craft the most effective path forward.
She earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation, and holds a magna cum laude undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
