Ask an immigration attorney

If I submitted a medical exam with my K-1 visa, do I need to submit another one?

Applicants who entered the United States on a K-1 visa and are applying for adjustment of status are not required to repeat the medical exam as long as the application was filed within one year of the date of the original medical exam, and the medical exam did not reveal a Class A medical condition (such as a communicable disease or drug use); or the applicant received a conditional waiver in conjunction with the K-1 visa.
