BENEFITS
In immigration, “benefits” refer to the various lawful statuses, permissions, or services that noncitizens can apply for or receive from the U.S. government. These include, but are not limited to:
- Work Authorization – Permission to work in the U.S.
- Adjustment of Status – Becoming a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- Naturalization – Process of becoming a U.S. citizen.
- Humanitarian Protections – Asylum, refugee status, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), etc.
