Journalist, Former Attorney

Liz Wegerer is a writer, journalist, and fractional content strategist whose path to content began somewhere unexpected: the courtroom. Before moving into editorial content, Liz spent more than a decade as a litigation attorney. A sabbatical eventually took her away from the U.S.— and from law altogether —but her legal training never left her. It wired her for deep research, evidence-based thinking, and comfort with complexity, whether she's interviewing an executive, dissecting a technical report, or building a content roadmap from scratch. Her job, as she puts it, is to find the why behind a story and translate it into something authoritative and actionable.

Over the past 15 years, Liz has worked as a writer, editor, and content professional around the world, from Seattle to London to the EU to the Caribbean. Along the way she co-founded a boat charter business in the tropics, an experience that reflects her appetite for challenges outside her comfort zone. That global, adaptable perspective sharpened her ability to break down complicated immigration topics.
