U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the launch of organizational accounts and online form filing for future H-1B cap seasons.
Organizational accounts will enable several individuals within a company or business entity, along with their legal representatives, to work together on H-1B registrations, Form I-129 (Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker), and the associated Form I-907 (Request for Premium Processing Service). USCIS plans to introduce organizational accounts in February 2024, with online filing for Form I-129 and Form I-907 as a fast-follow.
These improvements are expected to increase efficiency, minimize duplicate H-1B registrations and other common errors, and make the H-1B process more collaborative and intuitive for businesses and their legal teams.
The launch of organizational accounts and online filing for key H-1B forms are also part of a wider USCIS initiative to digitize the entire H-1B system. “USCIS is always striving to improve and streamline our processes, and this is a big step forward,” said USCIS Director Ur M. Jaddou. “Once we launch the organizational accounts and online filing of I-129 H-1B petitions, the entire H-1B lifecycle becomes fully electronic.”
