U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is making it easier for applicants to check the wait time of their applications online.

The federal agency announced Wednesday it was expanding its processing time tool, known as myProgress, to Form I-765 (“Application for Employment Authorization”) and Form I-131 (“Application for Travel Document”).

The myProgress tool allows applicants to get “personalized estimates of their wait times for major milestones in their case, including their final case decision,” USCIS said in a statement.

“While estimates are based on historical patterns of cases with similar specifics, they are not a guarantee of speed, cannot take into consideration all possible unique application processing delays, and may over- or underestimate the true processing time,” said the agency.

myProgress is already available for Form I-130 (“Petition for Alien Relative”), N-400 (naturalization application), and Form I-90 (“Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card”).

To check the wait time for your application, you’ll need to first create a USCIS online account or log in to your existing account. If you filed your application online or linked a paper application to your online account, you should see a tab showing the estimated wait time until you receive a decision on your case. You’ll also see a checkmark alongside various milestones as they are completed, including confirmation that USCIS received your application.

Are you wondering when you’ll receive a decision on your case? Boundless gets how stressful waiting can be, so each month we update the latest processing times for green card and naturalization forms.

Boundless helps you build a tailored visa plan for every step of the process, from forms to your immigration interview.
